Shabbat Coloring Page for Adults
With Chanukah behind us, and a nice stretch before we start to think Purim, I decided it’s the perfect time to create a Shabbat coloring page for adults that can be used year-round! Disclosure: this post contains commissioned links.
When we designed our logo, we wanted something that really captures Jewish motherhood – and the pair of candlesticks was the winner.
It’s our special mitzvah and a moment that we use to pray for our families, to have that impact.
And while Chanukah is my favorite holiday, for me, Shabbos is the biggest gift. I’m a full time work-at-home mom, self-employed and my office is in my living room. That means that I’m ALWAYS at work.
On Shabbos, the computer fades into the background and I’m “forced” to spend time with my family, to stop, read that book, catch up on my magazines… For me this is the greatest gift I could ever ask for. I can imagine life without Chanukah, much as I love it, but not without Shabbos.
I illustrated this Shabbat coloring page for adults as an extra way for us Jewish mamas to enjoy Shabbos despite all the hectic prep.
So stick a pan of broccoli in the oven to roast instead of creating a complicated veggie kugel – it tastes delicious anyway – and use the hour you just saved to color this Shabbat coloring page.

What I used to color this Shabbat coloring page for adults:
I wanted to keep this simple and not just stick to simple “silver” candlesticks. So I pulled out my STABILO Point 88 and Power markers and got to it!
It gives it the vibe of modern Judaica which was my inspiration when drawing it anyway (as you can see from the shape of the candlesticks).
I wanted it to be feminine but not immature. I started with the fuchsia and purple, which M helped me balance by asking me to “Color with MY favorite color” (blue). The gray helped balance it further.
I haven’t finished yet, but plan to use soft core colored pencils for the flames, and continue with the markers for the glow.
When I’m done, I’m going to frame it and hang near my candle shelf.
If you prefer to get a metallic finish, you can try paint markers, gel pens, or even metallic nail polish!
Happy coloring and Shabbat Shalom!

These candles remind me of the Wedding candle that my husband and I used to signify the joining of our lives. The light on these two candles reflects the ‘oneness’ we share.
While we are not Jewish, we do have the Sabbath or Shabbat in common with you. It is a true blessing for us as well.
Attending church, spending quiet time together with God, and listening to restful music helps to make Sabbath a very spiritual day of renewal for us.
